About Angelika

I still remember my very first introduction to yoga in Germany through one of my college teachers while completing my physiotherapy training. The concept of the physical postures combined with the breath flowing harmoniously into one another, opened up a whole new world of “exercising” to me. The experience of wholeness and stillness after each class was so profound that since then, Yoga has been a constant companion in my life. I have practiced Yoga for over 17 years with many wonderful teachers, first in Ireland and also during my travels to different parts of the world. It has gradually grown into a spiritual practice that has now become a way of life for me.

I am a fully qualified Satyananda Yoga Teacher having initially trained with Yoga Vidya in Germany in 2003 and subsequently with Swami Shraddha Murti and Swami Chetan Murti from the Satyananda Yoga and Meditation Centre in Galway. My training is also recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY); the Yoga Federation of Ireland (YFI) and the Bihar School of Yoga (BSY).

As a Yoga Teacher I strive to transmit a holistic experience of yoga to my students by teaching different practices that are relevant and helpful in our day to day lives. If practicing yoga achieves this and results in a positive difference to our lives then we have understood it’s potential. We will be inspired and more likely to stay with it, even through difficult and challenging times.
